"For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." Isaiah 43:19
When God does a new thing, it is not something He has not done before. Instead, He is refreshing our reality with new hope and life. His action is not random, reactive, or unmeasured. Instead, when He does something new, it is always rooted in His eternal unchanging nature and our identity as His children.
“Whenever it seems that God is not doing anything fresh in your life, focus on the love relationship and stay there until God gives you a new assignment”. (a quote from H. Blackaby).
The Bible says that God has been at work since creation perfecting what He wants because He is Perfect and this is ongoing! Jesus watched the Father do and then did the same and we can remain connected to Him in the same pattern by watching where God is at work around us and joining Him there. Be expectant, the new thing is sprouting we can embrace it in our humanness, our personal lives, our families and our relationships. When He moves, He does it in His splendor and majesty and gives us an open invitation!
Even in hard places, He breaks down the toughness, drills pathways in the deserts and where there is nothing, he creates life and levels mountains. ‘That is what the Scriptures mean when God told Abraham, “I have made you the father of many nations. …”This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.” Romans 4:17
He did it for the children of Israel in the wilderness. When humans say it’s over, God says it’s just began. Let’s invite those around us to be participants in this “new thing” for the growth of His kingdom, lets buckle up and witness like never before. With compassionate hearts let us feed those in spiritual wastelands. He is inviting us to join him in this new venture to bring revival in hearts of many in the preparation of what is to come!
Pray your response to the Lord personally, meaningfully and genuinely.
Reflect: Draw near to the heart of God and invite Him to do a new thing in you this week and wait in expectancy.
