Let God Handle It!

Updated: Aug 26, 2023

“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17

Have you ever tried to assemble something and did not take time to refer to the manual because you wanted to do it quickly and then proceed to the next thing? Then when it didn’t work you said “it’s just too hard! I’ve done that many times and found out that less time is wasted when I follow the manual. Abraham was a friend of God but went ahead of God when it came to the “promise” God had given him. He was impatient at the beginning but eventually got it right!

Several times the Lord says in the Bible that nothing is too hard for him to handle, so we should not entertain a defeatist attitude! He is with us even during those times when things don’t make sense in our lives! Humanly speaking, Abraham and Sara’s case was impossible, so both laughed in disbelief instead of trusting God’s promise! We forget that the Creator right from the beginning assembled everything together and knows how they function more than we do. He is the architect and designer and knows how everything is supposed to run and function and he is also the only one who creates new things out of nothing! God’s Word often compels us to step outside the comfort zone of our abilities and into the realm of His supernatural possibilities.

We can learn some excellent lessons from an eagle. It has a strong vision, moves with speed, always in the present, rises above the problems, finds opportunities in problems, flies high and is courageous! This can be a lesson to us when we encounter adversity and challenges to run to Jesus because He is our only place of safety.

During times of sadness, Nehemiah said “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength”. Nehemiah 8:10 (b)

Dear Lord, help me not to fear the future but to boldly trust that you are in control when my emotions plunge me down, and when I am in despair. And times when I can't talk and don't know what to say, help me to meditate on your word that says “Be still, and know that I am God”. Psalm 46: 10 (a) Be my comforter, my healer and bring me peace. In Jesus' name. Amen

Through the day: Meditate on Romans 4:17b “Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing!“
